Who
I am a 40 something mother of 3. I was born and raised in the Bahamas, now living in Canada. I’ve been married almost 25 years.
Why am I on this journey?
I remember thinking when I was graduating high school, one day I want to be comfortable in my skin. Back then I thought my teachers and the church leaders I grew up with, they were comfortable in their skin. Being as shy and introverted as I was, I thought the mere fact that they got up and spoke so fluidly in front of people meant they were comfortable in their skin. Fast forward to where I am now, definitely not comfortable in my skin. My definition of comfortable in my skin has evolved over the years. Now I define it as having sufficient confidence in my beliefs, and capabilities to calm that inner voice, allowing me to be present, fully absorb and participate in the now. What I used to think it was is really just a part of it, a manifestation of this inner peace. When I leave this planet, I want to leave knowing that I lived my authentic, best self as a mother, as a wife, a sister, an employee, a friend, a life-long learner, a fellow human.
